Meet PJ

Santa sent an elf to Room 127 to watch over us this year! We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw him on Wednesday! It's all because the students wrote letters to Santa before Thanksgiving break, asking him for a special elf friend.

The students voted on a name.

The morning friends named him Panther.
The afternoon friends named him James.

Our elf put a letter in my mailbox this morning, asking to be called "PJ" as a nickname. He also thought it would be easier for the friends to remember, and also easier to write!

PJ let us know that he will not be causing mischief in the room, although he may act a little silly sometimes. PJ will be bringing us special activities and helping us to remember to make good choices. This is especially important with all of the Christmas excitement that is going on at home and here at school!

Happy Veteran's Day

Happy Thanksgiving!

Every once in awhile we are able to take a break from our everyday classroom routine and do something special. Today we had our annual Thanksgiving Feast in Kindergarten. The Pilgrims and Native Americans joined together to feast on turkey, popcorn, cheese, applesauce, orange, a dinner roll, and last but not least, PUMPKIN PIE! This is always one of my favorite days here in kindergarten.

100 Club

The 100 Club is growing tremendously! We have 28 members in the 100 Club! Do you know how much that totally rocks?!?!?! Counting to 100 is an END of kindergarten goal, and we're just getting started! I am so excited to think of where this year is going to take us!

There is a Youtube Channel called “Have Fun Teaching.” From this site, we use sight word songs to help teach our star words.
